Sponsored Schools

Universal Music UK Sound Foundation has been the largest single sponsor for Arts Colleges in the UK, its donations totalling £1.2M. With support from the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust, we successfully sponsored 36 secondary schools to become either Specialist Performing Arts or Music Colleges.

Since the end of this programme we have maintained an ongoing relationship with many of the schools, investing a further £1.2M into their Music Departments and those of their feeder primary schools. We are incredibly proud of this area of our work and the number of young students whose music education has been greatly enhanced due to our on-going support.
